Chitlang Nepali:Nepal Bhasa is a VDC situated in Makwanpur District, Narayani Zone, CDR, Nepal. 

Topography 

Chitlang is situated toward the south west of Kathmandu valley in mid-slopes called Mahabharat range. 

The VDC is limited by- 

North : Naubise VDC, Thankot VDC, Mahadevsthan VDC 

South : Markhu VDC 

East : Fakhel VDC, Matatirtha VDC 

West : Bajrabarahi VDC 

History 

Chitlang VDC is situated in antiquated Newar settlement. Engravings going back to Lichchavi time have been found in this spot. An engraving was found in Toukhel, Ward 6 of Chitlang VDC, built up by lord Amshubarma (in sambat 37). As per the engraving, Amshubarma had given the area to shepherds and set up a settlement for shepherds in Toukhel, Nhulgaun, Kunchhal and so on of Chitlang.Some history specialists trust that these individuals called Gopalis are the relatives of leaders of the Gopal era.In Chitlang there are diverse societies: in ward no 1 there is Tamang society in ward no. 2 Khas, in ward nos 3, 4, 5, 6 and 10 there is the Newari society; ward nos. 8, 7 and 9 has a blended society. There are numerous meeting places like "Majhagau" extraordinarily newari individuals and society, Swachhand Vairavr Temple and Satdhaea, and soon Argenacik resort. 

Chitlang lies on the antiquated course to Kathmandu valley. Demographics 

As per 2011 statistics of Nepal, there were 2023 houses in Chitlang and 7802 people.The primary ethnic populaces are Newar, Tamang, Khas,[Bahun]etc. 

Society
